This wasn't your ๐˜›๐˜ช๐˜ฐ ๐˜™๐˜ฐ๐˜ฃ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ's standard Eggs Benedict.

I think that I have "attempted" to make poached eggs only a few times before... and never very successfully. Of course, at the time, I did not know the little "trick" that they always state on the Food Network to add a little vinegar to the boiling water; this helps the egg whites coagulate into a more cohesive, rounder mass better. Unfortunately, I only have Balsamic, apple cider, or malt vinegars; so, I went with the malt vinegar this morning. (I may have seasoned the boiling water with juuuust a skosh of Ghost Pepper salt, too.)

In place of Mr. Thomas' boring ol' English muffins as the base, I went with two different types of ๐™ฅ๐™ช๐™ฅ๐™ช๐™จ๐™–๐™จ[1] (the ๐˜ฑ๐˜ถ๐˜ฑ๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ข that I bought them at yesterday afternoon makes them fresh to-go for each customer; it was about a fifteen minutes process): ๐˜ถ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ ๐˜ฒ๐˜ถ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ฐ ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ ๐™ก๐™ค๐™ง๐™ค๐™˜๐™ค (man, I sure hope "๐™ก๐™ค๐™ง๐™ค๐™˜๐™ค" don't mean "parakeet" in Salvadoran Spanish)[2] ๐˜บ ๐˜ถ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ ๐™›๐™ง๐™ž๐™Ÿ๐™ค๐™ก[3] ๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ ๐˜ฒ๐˜ถ๐˜ฆ๐˜ด๐˜ฐ. I only had to reheat them on a non-stick skillet.

I won't even attempt to make a fresh Hollandaise sauce. It would take too much time and probably cost many lives. So I simply used an avocado salad dressing that I had in my refrigerator and added some of the salsa that was provided from the ๐˜ฑ๐˜ถ๐˜ฑ๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ข. (If I had any idea what I was doing, I would have made a nice Chipotle Hollandaise sauce that I have had before at a few local breakfastary joints... however... I really have no clue.)

The side o' Salvadoran sauerkraut/coleslaw-thing (๐™˜๐™ช๐™ง๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™™๐™ค[4]) was also provided by the ๐˜ฑ๐˜ถ๐˜ฑ๐˜ถ๐˜ด๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ข.

I did cut my own fresh lime for squeezin', though.

This looks delicious, Harpo. I never heard of these groups of food before. The Central American cuisine.

Pupusas are great. They are not hard to get vegetariano either. The place I went to had three or four different types, but I have been to a few places that had upwards of ten or more for st*pid vegetarians to enjoy.

I probably shoulda posted the photo that I took and used on a
defacedbook post, too.

That dish is making me hungry:ROFLMAO:. Looking at the pupusas, they look similar to pitas. You can do a lot of dunking the egg yolk into them.

Pupusas are much thicker than pitas actually. They are made from corn masa and stuffed with whichever ingredients you order. This is why they made a good replacement for plain ol' English muffins in this dish.

What(the h*ck is that)'s for Dinner?!

Now, I probably shouldn't admit to trying this sandwich (and I sure as h*ck should not admit to actually liking it), but do not blame me for this c*ckamamy one. I saw it posted on another food group that I am in on
defacedbook and just Harpofied it a bit (using my choice of peanut butter and jelly and bread; I also used the Cheez-Its of my choosing).

PB&J&C:
Brooklyn Roasting Company ~ Coffee Peanut Butter - super chewy peanut butter dusted with fresh-roasted Ethiopian sun-dried Coffee.
Crazy Uncle Red's ~ Celebrated Hot Pepper Jelly.
Cheez-It ~ Extra Toasty.
Oroweat ~ Schwarzwรคlder Dark Rye Bread.

Now, I am not saying it all was not a little on the strange-tasting side, but I still liked it enough to think about doing this again with a "normal" jelly/jam. However, the peanut butter will remain the same as I only have this (and another Sumatran Coffee peanut butter) currently in my cabinets.



(Do not even bother searching their web-site for the peanut butter product. It is not on there for some reason. Either they just don't list it or it is no longer being produced (in which case... Woo-HOO! I got the last two jars of peanut butter from them!).


(This is really more sweet than spicy. It just tastes good.)


(They are calling these "Extra Toasty", but trust me, people, they are just "burned". [And d*mn if I am not addicted to them!])

And I did not even come up with this weirdo-concoction for a change. Someone else mention putting potato chips in their PB&J, too. I might need to try that one of these days.

I'm allergic to PB&J, so I have to pass. The Guatamalen coffee looks good.

The opening page, I love the Orange Tabby Cat:love::love:.
