Yes, unfortunately, they are normally deep fried like fritters. I have seen them oven-baked before, but that is very unusual to find.

Sorry. They really are a great vegetarian dish, though.

I simply had two (large) slices of Pizza for dinner. One was topped with (tons of) fresh basil. They were from a neighbourhood joint that always does good Pizzas.

But that was not the "special" part. (You can try this at home, too, kids, as long as you have Pizza with extra thick crusts.) I learned this little trick wayyyyy back in the mid-90's at a Colorado Pizza-chain named BeauJo's. They make their "Mountain Pies" with extra thick and twisted crusts so that you can save them for dessert and drizzle them with
honey (which they have on every table). As strange as it sounds, it really is very tasty. Anyway, I upped-the-ante a bit and used some very good 100% Vermont maple syrup on my two crusts tonight for dessert.

There's a new place in town that serves bar pizza. It is amazing! They give you a little container of hot honey you can drizzle on it. Yum 😋

I also have a jar (squeeze-bottle, actually) of some hot honey that my brother sent me. It is spiced up with habaneros, so it is a bit on the hot side still.

The Yukon and Chip's Pie Pizzas look delicious.

Harposf what kind of pretzels would SoxOCfan approved only to eat? The german ones? or the East Coast ones? Auntie Annies' pretzel? I don't know what kind of concessions stand would Angels Stadium have.

@HarpoSF are there any Wetzel's Pretzels chain stores in the Bay Area? They make a really good German-style pretzel with a few mustards available.

Probably at a few malls, like Auntie Ann's. I really haven't been to malls much since B.C. (Before COVID).

What's for Dinner? ~ Burmese-style

Samusa Soup ~ made with samusa, falafals, lentils, cabbage, and onions.

Tea Leaf Salad ~imported Burmese tea leaves, mixed nuts, fried garlic, sesame seed, peanuts, and dressing

and a cuppa Burmese Hot Tea to drink.

Yeah, baby! This really hit the spot on this cold, dreary, wet Friday night.
