What's for Dinner... er... Coffee?
I was feeling a little experimental this afternoon and decided to try something using a cheap-o brand of Coffee (that I might have taken from work... but, in my defense, this Coffee was purchased even before COVID, so it is way past its prime, anyway).
The bag states that it is a "Colombian Blend"... but knowing my company, that probably just means that it came from the Capital of South Carolina...
Anyway, I have some Mexican Hot Chocolate that I like and decided to make a pseudo-Café Mocha (or would that be "El Café Moca"?) with it. The Hot Chocolate already has both sugar and cinnamon in its ingredients, but I decided to spice-it-up a bit more and added some ground nutmeg (which I had to grind from the whole nutmeg nuts) and powdered cardamom (thankfully, it was already pre-ground for me when I bought the bag at an Indian import store in town).
All in all (for outdated Coffee) this turned out pretty good. I matched it up with a few Girl Scouts samoas® cookies for a nice afternoon snack-thing.
