Basically, you can pair just about anything you like with quinoa and it will taste great!

(and in line with my above post)
What's for Dinner... er... Lunch?

Vegan Curry Wrap ~ roasted
cauliflower & chickpeas, red quinoa, caramelized onions, yellow coconut curry sauce, on a Wheat Tortilla

And, man, was it ever tasty!

It was a bit spicy, but just enough. I am a fan of anything that has garbanzo beans or cauliflower in it, anyway.

¿Que hay para Cenar?

Una Enchilada de Queso y Uno Chile Relleno ~ served with rice, beans, salad, and corn tortillas

Their web-site is pretty much useless, but, trust me, their food is very good and their Tequila selection is one of the best in the city, if not all of Northern California. This is "Vieja Escuela" Mexican fare. It is one of the oldest running Mexican restaurants in the city. The best part is that it is only eight blocks from my apartment, so, after a HUGE meal, I can walk it off a bit (albeit, it is uphill all the way... and very steeply).

This one might be for @HarpoSF
Last night I had friends over and I had a veggie platter with a nice tzatziki dip.
One of the veggies was jicama. omg, so so so good. It was the first veggie to go.
What else can I do with jicama besides serve it on a platter with a dip?

I love jicama; unfortunately, jicama is best served raw. It is not like yucca where you can eat it raw or cooked. Jicama does go good with hummus if you like that dip, too. It is also a great addition to almost any salads.

I have a jar of locally-made Jicama Kimchi. It is sooooo good and retains its crunchosity in there.

What's for Dinner... er... Coffee?

I was feeling a little experimental this afternoon and decided to try something using a cheap-o brand of Coffee (that I might have taken from work... but, in my defense, this Coffee was purchased even before COVID, so it is way past its prime, anyway).

The bag states that it is a "Colombian Blend"... but knowing my company, that probably just means that it came from the Capital of South Carolina...

Anyway, I have some Mexican Hot Chocolate that I like and decided to make a pseudo-Café Mocha (or would that be "El Café Moca"?) with it. The Hot Chocolate already has both sugar and cinnamon in its ingredients, but I decided to spice-it-up a bit more and added some ground nutmeg (which I had to grind from the whole nutmeg nuts) and powdered cardamom (thankfully, it was already pre-ground for me when I bought the bag at an Indian import store in town).

All in all (for outdated Coffee) this turned out pretty good. I matched it up with a few Girl Scouts samoas® cookies for a nice afternoon snack-thing.

Does Marc Anthony's deliver to your location, or is it a bit too far?

Has anyone else tried the new Coca-Cola Spiced (Raspberry Spiced Coke)? I like it, but I am not a huge fan of these mega-corps forcing us to have to drink their cr*p with tons of High Fructose Corn Syrup as the main sweetener. They do offer it as a Coke-Zero version, too, but I equally hate those chemical fake-sugars, too.

Now if only Coke would come out with a Zero-HFCS version of their products...

If you like Coke... and a bit strange flavours... give it a try. I hardly ever get stuff with that cr*p High Fructose Corn Syrup in it. Sometimes you have no choice if you want to try something new. I tried it, now I don't need to try it again.

I cannot remember the last time I had a cola. Not a fan of soda.
I don't even remember what coke tastes like!

I'm not a big soda drinker.
