What's for Dinner... er... Lunch?

Cheese and Pickle sandwich. Now this is a very simple sandwich, but it is probably the #1 Sandwich in all of England.

I used actual
Branston® Pickle and Gouda cheese (but do not tell Phil or King Brady; I did not have any Cheddar on hand... "We don't get much call for it around these parts... ").

These are not "pickles" in the standard sense of the word. This is more of a chutney-like product. It is very good in a grilled sandwich version, too.

Sorry, Harpo that is what I was thinking. A chutney makes more sense. I agree, it would go very well in a grilled sandwich.

When we were in St Maarten we stopped at a gouda cheese factory on our excursion for a free sample. So delicious! I bought some to bring home 🏡

What's for Dinner?
Starter: Vegetarian Crispy Rolls (4 each) ~ Silver noodles, dried mushrooms, cabbage and carrots served with sweet & sour plum sauce.

Mainer:
Pumpkin Curry ~ Kabocha pumpkin in red curry sauce with tofu. (and a side of Coconut Rice... 'cause that red curry sauce is just too good too waste)

Drinker: Thai Ice Tea

I really like this place because it offers both Burmese and Thai dishes, so depending on my mood, I can choose which I want. I felt like an all-Thai dinner tonight. (Plus, the restaurant is just a block away from my apartment... )

Teriyaki Zen Koja ~ Vegetarian. Soy and portobello mushroom patty, sesame vinaigrette lettuce, pineapple, teriyaki sauce, sesame seeds.

and a glassa Thai Ice Tea to drink

These are a very strange, but very tasty creation. Picture a hamburger where the bun is made from two formed crispy rice patties.

I did some meal prep last night. Ground turkey with sauteed onions and chopped green apple.
Made a batch of quinoa.
Going to add various veggies during the week for delicious bowls.
Open to suggestions of what to add!

Roasted beets! (red or yellow will do) Beets are a great addition to quinoa bowls.

Oh, and beets and apples are always a very nice pairing (or "pearing").

hmmm beets would be good. I don't have any though.......
How about Zucchini? Bell peppers (thinking what I have in fridge)
Feta? cucumber? tomato?
Feta, bell peppers, and cucumber would be a very nice flavour combination. But I am always partial to anything with Feta in it.

Update on bowl for the night.
Ground turkey, quinoa, cucumbers, chopped apple, dried cranberries and feta
Can only work with what I got but it was a good hearty meal
Oh, yeah! Cranberries and Feta are a great combination, too.
