The Potato Chip Thread... and beyond

  • Quote of the Day - "Do your job" ~ Bill Belichick

Last new one from me for now:

Siete - Grain Free Tortilla Chips ~ Squeeze of
Lime

I really like this chips company, and they are not (yet) owned by the PepsiCo-people...

This one is 100% grain-free and made with casaba flour, which gives it an interesting taste and crunchosity.

Late July Snacks ~ Multigrain Tortilla Chips -Sea Salt

I really like these chips. The ingredients are all pretty straight-forward. However... they are now part of the Campbell's Soup people and I think they might just be fudging a bit on the Nutrition "Facts" on the back of the bag. One of the last ingredients listed on the bag is "Organic Cane Sugar". Then how come they list "Total Sugars" at 0g and "Includes 0g Added Sugars"... ummm, correct me if I'm wrong, Sandy, but if we kill all the golfers, they'll lock us up and throw away the key.

The All Dressed sounds good. Never heard of the Fried Green Tomato - did you try it, Harpo?
I have had the All Dressed several times before and knew it to be tasty.

I have only had a few helpings from the Fried
Green Tomato bag, but they are tasty, too.

It is very hard to find gummy snacks that are Vegan (which means a st*pid vegetarian can also eat 'em). Now I am glad I found one, and it tastes pretty d*rn good.

snak club® ~ Tajin® Mango Rings - Chili & Lime Flavored

Now I want to try and find more of their products. The
Pineapple Rings and Watermelon Rings sound right up my taste-alley.

I didn't know there was such a thing as Vegan Gummy snacks.

The Chili and Lime is a good flavouring. I would prefer it with regular potato chips.

Almost all gummy/gummi candies use gelatin/gelatine in them. They are not only not vegetarian/Vegan, they are not Kosher/Halal. It is nice to find a product I can eat and enjoy.

Two new (well, for me) Doritos® products:

Tangy
Pickle & Twisted Queso

I liked both of these, but the Tangy
Pickle seems to pair better with dips.

I would try this chip. An interesting combination.

This was a brand new tortilla chips for me.

Late July® ~ Mexican Street Corn

I liked this flavour a lot. I used to buy Late July products all the time many years ago. They are now part of the Campbell's Cartel, but I will try any new chips once (many times if they are any good).

This sounds really good, Harpo.
