Also, the amount of people I've seen who actually believe these tariffs will lower prices in the US is astounding, but probably explains a lot.

Doesn't the US Congress have to pass a bill for the tariff policies to actually go through?
 
I have absolutely no clue. I am sure that the almighty Trumpinator does not have a clue either.

In all seriousness... how far do the markets need to crash before someone does something? I see even a few of his biggest supporters/donors have started questioning what's going on now.

Elon told Trump there shouldn’t be any tariffs between Europe and the U.S. I think Elon has lost enough money the last few days. Monday is off to a dreadful start as well.
 
So like, someone is going to put a stop to this right? I mean, we aren’t going to literally destroy the entire global economy just because drumpf doesn’t understand how tariffs work or what a trade deficit are, right?

Really surprised they didn't decline the invitation like every other team with some common sense has.

Good for the Dodgers attending. The Philadelphia Eagles accepted the White House Invitation and more recently Florida Panthers visited with the Stanley Cup, which the players were honoured to be there. Just put differences aside, make small talk, and leave.

pure idiocy. will he ever pull them back before the economy tanks?
 
Starting to see quite the selloff of US bonds and Treasuries. Gonna see interest rates soar... the economy is going to slow to Tristan Casas levels. The run on the dollar will continue, getting weaker and weaker... so goods more expensive, inflation soars again... another hit to stocks...

Apart from that though... I'm sure it'll be fine... 😳
 
I love how the past couple of days there has been a pretty evident effort by some who support Trump to pump up the US markets before they open, only for reality to take over shortly after and crash things down again. It's like they think they can manipulate things the way they want and people will be stupid enough to follow along.
