During Tuesday’s rally, Vance claimed Harris was responsible for Chinese factories being built in Michigan and China taking jobs from Michigan car companies. Vance connected her tie-breaking vote on the Inflation Reduction Act as vice president to the creation of the Chinese-owned Gotion plant in Michigan — something he later called “a child of the tie-breaking vote” to reporters.

“Kamala Harris not only wants to allow the Chinese Communist Party to build factories on American soil, she wants to pay them to do it with our tax money,” Vance said at the rally.

A Washington Post fact check found that Vance’s claim that the Inflation Reduction Act is sending jobs back to China is false.

Vance also repeated that gas and grocery prices went up “on her watch,” causing Americans to work multiple jobs. He talked about unattainable housing prices, the average $50,000 cost of a car, more than $1 trillion in credit card debt from Americans — and tied it all back to the vice president.

Vance contrasted the Chinese factories in Michigan with Trump’s promise to implement tariffs on China, promising the policy would lower taxes for Americans.

“Our corrupt leadership said if you put tariffs on China, prices will go up,” Vance said. “Instead Donald Trump did exactly that — manufacturing came back and prices went down for American citizens, they went up for the Chinese but they went down for our people.”

Vance needs to take an economics course and understand who pays tariffs when they are slapped on imported goods. It's not the country the goods are coming from. But he and Trump are counting on enough people to be stupid enough to not understand how the whole process works.

not to mention if you tariff foreign cars so a 25k car costs, let's say 30k, do you really think the domestic car maker isn't going to up their 25k equivalent model to 29k since they know they can make 4k more and still cost 1k less than the foreign made car?

Kamala absolutely wiped the floor with him last night. I'm honestly STUNNED at how ill prepared he was for her attacks. Harris made it no sdecret that she was gonig to try to bruise his ego and bait him into some unhinged rants. His team KNEW that was coming and he still couldn't help himself and stick to the policies. I heard his performance described as "jumping up and down like he was on a trampoline on top of every land mine she laid". I knew the guy was unhinged but thought with the debate prep he would hold it together at least a little bit, but he was a complete disaster last night.

What's funny is i guess he debate prepped with Tulsi Gabbard. If you don't know who she is, she is a former Democrat that has basically gone full MAGA. she was on the outs with the Dems so decided to switch to make a name for herself in MAGA. i think that's how she weasled her way into the drmupf camp but she's basically a complete fraud, and after drumpf got run off the stage last night i can't believe she's welcome in his circles anymore. maybe she'll go Green party next? LOL

Maybe the worst debate performance ever (up there with biden from back in June) .

Harris herself stuck to the topics where she could, I think people maybe wanted to hear a little bit more. I'd give her A+ for handling drumpf like a rabid animal, and B+ overall.

If it wasn't over then it definitely was when she invited voters to attend one of his rallies, and then ticked off the nonsense topics he frequents like Hannibal Lecter and windmills causing cancer, then finished up with the back to back lines of people leaving early out of exhaustion and boredom and that you'll never hear him talking about average people, only himself. That entire sequence was a drop kick to the balls of his ego.
