Interesting to hear him say his fav player was Pedroia and Dustin Pedroia was a major factor of why he chose to come to Boston. Dustin reached out to him a few times and convinced him he would love to win in Boston!

So it has been a messy weather day here and I had NESN on for a bit after the conference to introduce Alex. Nice to see palm trees and short sleeves. I’m jealous. TC and Lou Merloni were talking and they actually seemed (dare I say) giddy? They really are excited. I haven’t seen this kind of excitement around the Sox in a long time. Hope it proves to be reason for feeling that way!

They really did add some good talent this offseason, Breslow has done very well. With that and the fact that we have a some of the top prospects in the game ready to break into the big leagues... there is definitely reason to be excited. We *should* be a fun team to watch this year.
