Sooooo.... found out all of this today - my grandad is back in hospital with a blood clot on his lung and they've already been talking about DNR for when they try and treat it, my uncle has leukemia and his wife has breast cancer and one of my best friends has been sent for an urgent referral for cervical cancer.

I need a strong drink, I think.

It always seems as though when it rains it pours. Sorry to hear about that @philthepat

Crazy isn't it... everytime the phone rings now I'm worried about what's next... still, I shall make sure everyone remains positive no matter what they're facing because what else can you even do?

I have told about my mom's death on Saturday November 9th 2024 to SoxOCfan and Loyalsoxfan2.
The funeral will take place in Harposf's much talk about cemetary city of Colma, California (South of San Francisco) on Saturday morning December 7th 2024.

My mother Nancy died in her sleep at a San Mateo nursing home. She was lucky she didn't died in the hospital. It took me days to realized she died. It was a cremation notice from my sister that made me believe that.

My mother was 86 years old, ID driver's license had her birthdate on August 19th 1938. In 2024, my disabled mother was diagnosis with dementia in March. My mother moved to my sister's place in San Carlos by plane in April. In late May, during a drive to my sister's youngest son 8th grade graduation, she fell ill and was sent back home. Later that evening, my sister called the panademics to send my mother to the hospital because she developed high fever in bed. I was there at my sister's place for a week. She developed pneumonia, lung problems (she does not smoke) and other issues that I don't know. She looked fine when I saw her. It was the first time she was hospitalized. After i left back to Orange County, my mother was released from the hospital and stayed at my sister's place.

In July, my sister said that taking care of my mother was too exhausting. So my mother was sent to a San Mateo nursing home. My mother did not like it there during her stay, but she got used to it. 4pm dinners, limited phone calls, living with others was the downside. I call my mother every day, she surrender her mobile phone to my sister. My mother seems spaced out all the time when I talked to her.I tried to keep a positive look formy mother.

I was looking forward to seeing my mother I thought for Thanksgiving. I had no ideal she would died in her sleep peacefully. She sleeps a lot for an old age mother.

My late mother loved the East Coast. Me and my mother went to Boston for a week in September of 1991. She worked for the Hyatt Regency for over 20 years and she got discounted rooms at the Hyatt Cambridge overlooking the Charles River through the windows. My mother and my sister went to Boston, New York City, and Washington DC I think in 2000, the year before the tragedy in the Twin Towers. She and my sister went to the top of the Twin Towers and took pictures. Dined at both the Grand Station terminal in NYC and Washington DC. White House tour. Congress tour. Boston red taped trail to see the historic buildings. Dined lobster.

My mother loved the Golden State Warriors. She watches the NBA. She played tennis, track and field, and basketball in her younger days. Her favorite MLB player is Mike Trout. When I was growing up in Wisconsin, we went to a Milwaukee Brewers game with my sister to see Robin Yount and Paul Molitor. When my mother and me were in Seattle in 1992, we went to the air-conditioning Kingdome and saw Ken Griffey Junior homered with the fireworks. She has little interest in baseball than the NBA.

I'm going through an array of problems with my mother's passing away and others. As I mention here, my high blood pressure to my car disabled, to my other lower issue problems. I'm just consumed totally. I had limited time to mourn. I'm taking medications, take blood pressure test, taking the free shuttle, walk to get groceries and errands. A worse election year ever, a ruined reputation. I just have to take things one thing at a time.
