The Official Jimmy Fund Thread in honor of Tim & Stacy Wakefield

(Ha! Look what I had saved from Ye Olde Red Sox Fan Forum. This was the original post from BostonBonfire to start the Jimmy Fund Thread.)

For Every 100 Posts in this thread, I will donate $1 To the Jimmy Fund. It may seem like a small amount, (5000 posts = 50 dollars), but this purpose of this to spread awareness more than anything.

That doesn't mean the Jimmy Fund has to see one small check as a result of this thread. If everyone makes the same promise I am making, we can raise a lot of money. So I implore you, say that you will donate $1 (or more) to the Jimmy Fund for every 100 Posts in this thread.

The more people who agree too partake in this, the more money we will make. Make this thread the chitchat thread, the bump thread and the spamming thread. Invite everyone from the MLB message boards to join in this.

I will be keeping track of who promises to donate and how much they promise to donate. Help make this happen!

 
Hopefully DemonessBaby (and anyone else not in contact with Phil on defacedbook) can locate her way back onto this Forum.

 
I did send KingBrady6 a Message on defacedbook to rejoin the Forum.

My guess is that BostonBonfire is now running some multi-million dollar corporation that actually does some good.

How do I open a thread that picks up only unread messages? or is that not an option?

When I open a thread, it starts at the first post.

 
Not sure loyal. I use my phone for Phil’s site so the format is different. There are a few bugs Phil is still working out. Too bad we lost the former format.

not sure....... I don't see an account setting for it. someone reply to this post please so i can "reopen" the thread and see if it takes me to the first or newest post.

also i noticed when I quoted loyal just now it doesn't show that I quoted her. Her text isn't labeled in my post so it looks like I wrote it.....

So I turned on notifications that indicates when someone replies to my thread. When I click it, it brings me directly to your post but if there were any other posts before you, not sure I'd see them (I don't think there are).

We will learn as we go I guess!

 
Yep still working on some bits... 

Threads should jump to the first unread post now when you open them... let me know once you've tried this and confirm it's happening...

The quoted posts thing is simply a color issue... will sort that next  

 
Still taking me to the first post so I have to scroll down to the last post to read or write. That’ll be murder when we get more posts on all threads.

 
It seems to be working for me; it is now taking me to the last posted or the newest posted reply.

 
Ok, depends how you get here. If you go to Red Sox Discussions then click on jimmy fund it takes you to the last post.
