I copied the roster section and started filling in by position with last names, working around the positions on the roster to make sure I had someone for every letter that made sense. As someone pointed out, a bench OFer has to go to the letter X because there's only one choice. I have a full roster, now I just have to hope the players I picked are ones the person running this offers as suggestions.
That’s an excellent idea. Might do that myself as planning ahead will hopefully help a little.

Steve Carlton makes it in for C, and we have our first member of the rotation.

Next up.... D

One of the drawbacks to filling it in line this a letter at a time going through the alphabet is that we all tend to pick the best names early on regardless of the position, and then later on we're going to be forced to pick some far lesser players to fill positions because some spots are filled. I found that to be the case even as I was trying to do the full roster the other day and looking at names. And even at the end I inadvertently wound up with 2 H players and no one from C, even though that was the letter of the day, and had to readjust.

I wanna know what looser voted for Jacoby Ellsbury. He was good for a few seasons, but no way does he make an All-Time All-Star roster.

I didn't vote for him, but he helped us win a world series, got everyone a free taco and then stole millions of dollars from the Y*nkee$ for doing sod all... so I don't mind him getting an honorary vote lol

So Eck wins easily. We'll slot him into the closer role for now, pending other votes.

D*mmit once more, Phil! I had to choose between Carlton Fisk and Jimmie Foxx. I went with the "Homerun Waver" because I had actually seen him play. Several other great choices in the F-List, too... even that Whitey guy. (wow! He was born in Manhattan and played his entire MLB career with the D*mns,)

I went Fingers to get some bullpen places filled and figured 1B can possibly get filled tomorrow.

Rollie Fingers is also a great choice. The "F"s have a lotta good choices here.

I voted Foxx today to slot into 1B because I know I'm not voting for Gehrig tomorrow because I'm 1000% voting for Bob Gibson (Sorry, Lou).

Geez, another tough choice day. I will probably go with that Y*nkees guy, anyway. I actually met Bob Gibson at the 1999 All-Star Break autograph-thing in Boston; he was a bit of a d*ck.

Plus, I have a very close friend that has suffered with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) for over twenty-three years now.
