They sound grossI would probably like these on a hot Summer day. I would need at least two cups of water afterward, though.

Can't say I'll be eating a pickle popsicle. Harpo will probably dip it into peanut butter. They sound gross![]()
I read your mind, Harpo. What a great idea!!!
I lost that years agoAnd you still have your sanity?!
That was nice of your work to give out the Root Beer Floats. The vanilla ice cream is the best combination with root beer. I would pass on the Pineapple soda. I'm glad you enjoyed that concoction, Harpo.Last week at work, they were giving out Root Beer Floats to anyone that wanted one. Just the standard root beer soda with Vanilla Ice Cream. They also had orange soda and cola soda if anyone preferred that combination for a float. Orange and Vanilla Ice Cream would be nice, like a Dreamsicle in a cup.
Anyway, I got to wondering (never a good idea), what might a Root Beer Float taste like with Pineapple Sherbet instead of the Vanilla Ice Cream. Or maybe even a Root Beer Float made with pineapple soda and Root Beer Ice cream.
Welllll... I looked for some Pineapple Sherbet and Root Beer Ice Cream on Saturday when grocery shopping... to no avail. I even looked at two different large chain grocery stores.
However... I remembered that there was a pretty decent Ice Cream shop right on my street and, lo and behold, they offered both a Pineapple Sherbet and a Root Beer Swirl Ice Cream. So, I bought a pint (well, 12 oz carton) of Pineapple Sherbet this afternoon and also a can of A&W Root Beer (it was all the little bodega near the Ice Cream place had; I would really have preferred a better Root Beer to use for this initial experiment; one 12 oz can of this brand has 86% DV for Sugar… Yech!).
Additionally, I bought a pint (12 oz carton, again) of Root Beer Swirl and a can of Fanta Pineapple soda.
I made my inaugural Root Beer Float with the first two ingredients and it really came out good. I will have to try and locate a much better brand of Root Beer to do this again next weekend. The tang from the pineapple flavour worked very nicely with the Root Beer-iness.
I probably won’t attempt the other style Root Beer Float until later in the week. I am afraid the same thing will be said about that brand of soda ~ too much DV% Sugar, but we are much more limited in our choices of pineapple soda.
The funniest thing was when I was on my way back home with these ingredients, I realized that I do not have any straws at home at all. Luckily there are a few coffeeshops and snack-places right on the next block from my apartment, and where the bus drops me off, anyway. I asked the Vietnamese Bánh mì place on the corner and they were nice enough to give me a straw to use.

I like almost all of Joe's Ice Creams. They have some "weird" flavours that are right up my "weird" alley. That was nice of your work to give out the Root Beer Floats. The Marble Fudge looks good on the Joe's link.

No but it was vanilla ice creamDid it have a scoop of Pineapple Sherbet and a scoop of Root Beer Swirl in it?!
That does sound good.I actually like a Sundae where they have a topping of Chocolate on one scoop, a topping of Caramel on one scoop, and a topping of Pineapple on the last scoop.
I prefer pineapple by itself. My pick would be a chocolate topping on a sundae, preferably vanilla.I actually like a Sundae where they have a topping of Chocolate on one scoop, a topping of Caramel on one scoop, and a topping of Pineapple on the last scoop.
For you, Harpo. One of the many, wacky foods featured at this year's edition of the Canadian National Exhibition starting tomorrow is Lobster Ice Cream.I actually like a Sundae where they have a topping of Chocolate on one scoop, a topping of Caramel on one scoop, and a topping of Pineapple on the last scoop.
I wasn't sure if you ate anything seafood related being a vegetarian.Well, of course, I can not eat that flavour, but my sister and brother have actually eaten and enjoyed Lobstah Ice Cream at Mad Martha's Homemade Ice Cream on Martha's Vineyard, and more than on one occasion.
I do not see it on the current list, but irt might be just a Summer Special they have.
