I'm not holding my breath.
I won't blame anyone for not signing Yoshi because I think his mind was made up where he wanted to play but used us and the other big market teams to get the best contract he could out of LA. Ohtani worked his contract out to make this happen and so now the Dodgers have all the pressure on them.
The Red Sox should just focus on getting speed, defense, athleticism, heart and pitching depth because that will be the only thing they can do to compete.

They will be signed. Just a matter of time. Somebody will scoop them up.

I hope the LA Dodgers sign a one year contract to Clayton Kershaw, who expected to return in the middle of the summer.

i think the union does a pretty crappy job repping the players honestly. the only thing they care about is that every star gets paid more than the star before them, but that just leaves less money for the new players. they boast about raising average contract values but if you are claiming that based on ohtani and yamamoto getting a billion dollars, and everyone else doesn't move up at all because no one has money left to spend, have you really helped the average player?

They should be more worried about raising minimum salaries, getting money for minor league players, and a team salary floor so the a's can't just shell out $5 to not even try until they move to Vegas.

i just can't help but think guys like Montgomery and Snell are still unsigned because the dodgers have so completely shattered free agency this season that no one feels inclined to shell out a ton of money when they will still be 5 all-stars short of the dodgers when they are done.

I picked him last year for P3. First day a great start, but the rest of the week he was a dud.

So... will Blake Snell or Jordan Montgomery be lacing up their shoes at a new ballpark today?!
