My guess is they’ll make some sort of minor move trading Valdez. Although I’m not sure why they’d keep Mickey Gasper on tbe 40-man over Valdez.

The last couple haven't hurt much. Ottavino was a decent pickup a few years back that didn't cost us much of anything, and the return for Verdugo last year has been decent.

I liked Ottavino.
I forget who we got for Verdugo but it bugged the hell out of me to see him in the WS.

Richard Fitts, Greg Weissert and Nicholas Judice.

Fitts is looking like solid rotation depth. Weissert was and still is a solid BP arm. Judice is still a long way away.

Yes, we got multiple years of a couple of decent pitchers and they got 1 year of Verdugo.

If they won the WS last year and Verdugo was a contributor, they would probably make that trade again.
But they didn't win the WS and Verdugo made the last out
