"There are no words that can convey the heartbreak the entire Celtics organization feels in the wake of the terrible loss of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna. Kobe was one of the greatest talents and competitors to ever play basketball, and his love of the sport inspired countless fans and players around the world. Our fans were fortunate to watch him as he contributed many memorable chapters to the Celtics-Lakers rivalry, which he treasured. We extend our deepest condolences to Kobe’s family, fans, and the entire Lakers organization, as well as all of the victims and families affected by this horrible tragedy."

Holy cr*p!

R.I.P.
Kobe Bean Bryant.

The Doc Rivers press conference is heartbreaking.

This is going to be one that even in a few years, I won’t truly believe it.

R.I.P Kobe and the others who died.

RIP Kobe, his daughter and the 7 others. Just heartbreaking.

I feel sadness for Gianna's schoolmates. I live about half-hour away from Newport Beach. She must of have full of life.

RIP Kobe and all the others who died. And bless their family and loved ones. Just horrible.

I used to attend Staples Center for the Lakers, Clippers and college basketball.

I was lucky to see his 81 and 62 point game, it felt surreal like playing a video game in a higher statue.

I'm just shy when it comes to loving basketball. Kobe Bryant loved the game of basketball. Doesn't matter what gender the game it is. I watch college basketball on the men's side. But I also watch a few women's college games like UCONN. Every year I watch the Women's Final Four. I know that Kobe loved the WNBA. He was supportive for women's basketball. I used to attend a few WNBA games in the past.

This tragic news really hits me hard because most of the helicopter crash victims were from Orange County where I reside.

A basketball coach from Harbor Day school in Corona Del Mar.

An Orange County College baseball head coach, his wife and daughter.

Was hoping this was just a nightmare.....really so horrible.

Still can't believe it.

Another young girl and both parents were killed......just awful.

Thanks for posting those photos......the Garden looks absolutely beautiful tonight.

Purple and yellow flowers left out on the sidewalk too. If they're still there tomorrow and I can capture it without getting in an accident, I'll take a picture!
