If we're gonna dub someone the ace... it would have to be Tanner Houck. 178 innings pitched last season with a 3.12 ERA and made the allstar game.

Put it another way... there's probably a 99% chance Houck is our opening day starter, which kinda proclaims him the 'ace'?

Yep, Pivetta agreed to a contract with SD the same day Bregman and the Sox worked out their deal. Works out for Boston because the comp pick for Nicky replaces the pick they lost for signing Bregman.
