Reasons to be cheerful

God knows we all need something to cheer us up after the last week... and especially going forward over the next few years. So I thought I'd start this thread where I'll post happy stories or information. Feel free to add your own... but obviously it must be something happy, uplifting, positive, inspiring etc...

I'll start... a children's hospice in Liverpool. The local community raised £6.4m in a month to save it from closure. They care for children under-5 with life limiting conditions.
