This will be the thread for MLB discussion and news not concerning the Red Sox.

Wait... there is other Baseball news NOT about the RED SOX?!

Heard on MLB radio this afternoon that the Giants PBO said he had to sign Pablo Sandoval because Panda kept sending him his workout videos as he was getting into shape for the season and had filled up all the memory on Farhan’s phone.

And so Aaron Judge says his big toe needs to be constant maintenance throughout his career.

i've seen that before. the dumbest thing about that play was THERE WERE TWO OUTS. He could have stood there for 10 days until the runner collapsed from lack of food and water and tagged him, and the inning would have been over. there was never any reason to try and throw out the guy running home.

Fromcal...opening game of Spring Training tomorrow on ESPN...Dodgers vs. Padres

I don't think there will be a blackout. outrageous ticket price. Ohtani is not playing until next week.

I got a major dentist appointment to remove my front teeth in the morning for dental implants. I'll probably be numb when I get back.

good luck with that. I need to get to a dentist too.

LA Dodgers 14, Padres 1.
a nice Arizona day for the first Spring Training game but it was mainly minor leaguers.

I figured it out exactly why the San Francisco Giants want to re-sign Pablo Sandoval. This is "the Year of the Dragon", after all. Kung Fu Panda is the "Dragon Warrior". Hence, the Giants expect him to help slay that awful beast from LÅ! 🐼🐉

This is a largely overlooked story line that could be fairly significant this coming season. Everyone was agog over NY trading for Soto, but one of the end results of that move was Aaron Judge now is their full time CFer, meaning he has to cover a LOT more ground every game than he was in the past. With his toe already being raised as a perpetual concern, the extra movement he's going to be required to do in CF (not only on balls hit to CF but all the backups of the 2 corner OF spots on plays to them as well) is a significant change and something that may wear him out a lot more than playing RF did. How NY attempts to manage that will be interesting to see unfold.

as long as he can still hit a 315 pop fly to right field he'll be fine. (Ignore my ranting about the park lol)

And yet another reason the Giants are thinking of re-signing Pablo Sandoval... Never say no to Panda!!!
