I was at Yard House all Sunday to watch NFL games. I wanted to watch the New England Patriots at Tennessee Titans game in the morning and the NFC Central Detroit Lions at the Green Bay Packers game in the afternoon. I had a tall large glass of microbeer and fish and chips which was way better than a few places I had during the summer. Unfortunely Yard House did not televised the NFL Sunday ticket of the Patriots at Titans game on one of the 2 dozen flat screen tee vee monitors However there were a few NFL games that I followed both in the morning and afternoon. This was the 2nd time I was at Yard House. I was there the other Sunday before for the 1st time. I took a local free shuttle from my home to Yard House Microbeer and great food located at a huge outdoor mall.
Yard House showed the overtime game of the Patriots at Titans game. I did watch the 10 minute highlights on the Youtube NFL video. 2nd half was pretty interesting. I did not pick the Patriots to win that game. I was really pleased on the stats of New England quarterback Drake Maye. He runs the ball for a quarterback really well. Passes better than Bissett. Both teams were in the NFL playoffs last season. I also wanted to give much credit to SoxOCfan for his Packers team input.
In the afternoon I watched the Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers game on one of their flat screen tee vees. I do not subscribe to the NFL ticket. The two NFL games that I mentioned was not locally teleivised in the Greater LA/OC area.
There were 4 NFL games that I was monitoring in the afternoon.
The Packers scored first. 7-0. There was a lot of defensive moves in the beginning of the game to have a flow. The Lions then scored a field goal on the next drive 7-3 Packers. Packers stadium had steady rain throughout the game. I thought that since the Lions home games is indoors, that would give the Packers an advantage. The fans wore a lot of gear at that stadium. Erin Andrews on the sideline did not let her hair out. Tom Brady was there along with the Fox lead broadcaster.
The Lions scored a touchdown next which was 10-7 Lions. At that time I thought it would be a trade off offensive 37-36 game. I thought it would be an exciting challenging game because the NFC Central had 4 teams that are playing above 0.500. Plus the Packers were a promising developing team that ended the Aaron Rogers tenure by having Rogers going to the New York Jets.
I credit much thanks to SoxOCfan for his input on the Green Bay Packers.
So Jordan Love the Packers quarterback played. He had good numbers for the game. However just under a few minutes left in the 1st half game clock, Love threw an ill-advise pass that the Lions returned the football with a touchdown. 17-7 Lions.
Jarod Goff of the Detroit Lions nearly had a perfect double digit passing completion and passing attempt for over a 100 yards I think in the first half.
At halftime I knew the Packers were in a lot of trouble because the Lions had better execution plays than the Packers. The Packers struggled both in the 1st half and the 2nd half of the game both offensively and defensively.
The 2nd half was like a lock. The Lions took competely the whole game from the home field Green Bay Packers. The game was over if you really followed this on tee vee.
I knew I made a major mistake on my NFL picks for the Packers over the Lions because of the most recent games prior to Sunday's Lions dominance of the Packers game. The Lions had a 50 something point game before the big Packers and LIons NFC Central matchup. I did not follow the Lions in that game. But I did see the Packers struggling against Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawerance in the same Yard House tee vee last week.
For preseason I picked the same Kansas City Chiefs versus the NFC San Francisco 49ers for the 2025 Super Bowl. But the 49ers without McGraffey and other key players, there are other NFC contenders out there. I thought the Packers had a shot. The Lions did not get notice from me in the first few games of the season. But in the most recent outcome and more importantly how I feel about the NFC best team has to go for the Detroit Lions. The Lions played a huge game against the Packers. There was a lot of hype for this game that will determine who will stand up for the NFC Super Bowl team in the coming weeks ahead.
There were 2 Detriot Lions fans at Yard house on the other table that I went to tell them that the Detroit Lions look like a Super Bowl team.
I did watched the conclusion of the Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks game at Yard House. The Rams really was lucky that they got a 100 plus yard interception a the end zone returned for a LA Rams touchdown that gave the Rams a 20-13 lead. I thought that was the momentum play for the LA Rams. Seattle tied it up with limited game clock time remaining at 20-20. Then it went to overtime. Then I had to charge my mobile phone from an electrical outlet at Yard House on a table. The Seahawks had the ball in the red zone (20 yard line) and then turned the ball over to the Rams. Which resulted in a offensive drive that won 26-20 overtime win for the Rams. I did not picked the Rams for my NFL picks because the game was in Seattle. However I did wore my NFL Super Bowl champions t-shirt and cap for the Rams. Go figure.
And for that very tall beer glass that I ordered at 10 in the morning. I was shocked at first because I figure I could get drunk. I took a colorful photo of the very tall beer glass on my mobile phone. I thought I would never finished that. It was a lot of beer. I hadn't consume that much beer since college. I actually wanted to order a beer mug before Yard House Octoberfest. But I ignored that on my very first visit. But you know what? I actually finished drinking all that beer in that very tall glass.
Oh after I left the Yard House, it was already the first night of Daylight's Savings Time at 5pm PT. It was dark. But the outdoor mall with well over 100's of shops and restaurants and etc only 5 miles where I live was full of people, children and dogs.
I had to go to Lids shop because I wanted to order a Shohei Ohtani World Series home jersey with number 17 on it. But I wanted to order that jersey through the Lids website. I went to Lids because they have a Ohtani jerseys but I did not exactly knew what size should I get. i tried the Large size which fits me but it didn't have the World Series patch on the side. I thought about getting a Extra large size but it would be embrassing because it would look oversized to me.
Oh at the Target Store, 2 PopCorners snacks, they had a 50% off if buy 1 and get the 2nd for 50% off. The cashier was saying that I had to belong to some Target member to get that discount. It was $9.98 for 2 PopCorners (based in NY). I said forget it I get this at my supermarket.
However I did buy Fruit gems (sunkist) at a Candy Store for $19.95.
I took the shuttle from the outdoor mall to home. Crashed and slept at home. I see that the Minneosta Vikings won over the Indianapolis Colts. I thought the Vikes were my Philthepat NFL Survivor team, but it was the Buffalo Bills that I picked. I was not aware of that until I look at my phone.

I agree with you about the Lions but I've only watched them once. They have a lot of talent and I hope the Packers play them in the NFC Championship game.
