Sweet melon cake Eastern Bakery (fromcal's special)
View attachment 1847

I had to do laundry this morning and, as luck would have it, there is a very good Chinese bakery just two doors down from the laundromat. I picked up two Melon Cakes and two Red Bean Swirl Buns.

I am enjoying one of the
Melon Cakes right now as a "Who's a good boy?" after-laundry reward. I am also enjoying it with one (very sweet) Mandarin (the fruit, not a neighbour from Beijing) and a cuppa mighty fine 𝓑𝓮𝓽𝓽𝔂𝓼 Lemongrass & Ginger Tisane.

I will enjoy the other pastries later today and tomorrow morning.

How many of you (any of you Trekkie-geeks or Trekker-nerds need not reply) were aware that Leonard Nimoy was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Jewish Ukrainian immigrants? I bet that will leave you speechless*.

*(See, here is where a st*pid, useless cunning linguist pointer would come in handy. The word for "dumb/mute/silent" in Ukraïns'kij is "німий" [transliterated as "nimij" and pronounced "neemee"] and in Roosky it is "немой" [transliterated as "nemoj" and pronounced "neemoy"].)

Was anyone else aware that Thomas’ English Muffins ~ an 'merican version of a so called “English muffin” ~ is now owned by the Mexican mega-corporation Grupo Bimbo?

Think about this for a minute: American... English muffins... owned by a Mexican bakery company.

(And I always thought that "Military Intelligence" was an oxymoron… )

i really missed the news magazine stands on Powell street in San Francisco.

I hate to drive almost as much as I hate to cook for myself.

If I could only afford a chauffeur, I would have him cook for me instead...

i viewed the San Francisco video decline on line. The richest Silicon adventures took over San Francisco and created the drug homeless epidemic.

I wonder if there is ever any confusion with Apple Inc.’s virtual assistant at Roosky cheese emporiums when someone asks about their “cheeses”, Mr. Wensleydaleski…

(Okay, I suppose, maybe I should post a st*pid, useless cunning linguist pointer to explain that st*pid, useless joke.
The word for “cheeses” in Roosky-speak is “сыры” ~ transliterated as “syry” and pronounced just like “Siri”.)

I buy the Sunday San Francisco Chronicle/Examiner to look at team batting/pitching stats in the sports pages in the old days.

I buy the San Francisco Chronicle to get sports coverage on the San Francisco 49ers on Monday in the old days.

The Examiner is a piece of trash these days, though. It is free, however...

Chit-chatterin' with Yller in the RemDawg Chat just now got me a-thinkin'... how many of the old RED SOX Fan Forum Message Board members has anyone met in person?

Myself, personally, I have met: Yller (a few times... unfortunately for him), Miss Love My Sox, SoxFanOC (back when he was then known as "SoxFanSF"), Jessie James (also a few times), Miss Cat Lady (also a few times),
7y*nk7, and one other (whose moniker escapes me right now; I can picture his avatar, but not the name... too many years, too many Beers!). So, seven in total.

I think that is all.

I really wanted to meet-up with H*llCity at a Giants game locally, but never got around to it.

Of course, it is killing me that I can not remember the other guy's moniker. D*mmit!

He went to UMass Amherst with my niece even. (He knew her, but she really did not know him.) He then moved to San Jose after college and worked in the San Jose State Athletic Department for several years.

I just know I will wake up in the middle of the night with his moniker now!!!

Shake-man? Shake-meister? Something like that.

Shake-Master?!

I know Yller created an animated avatar for him with this character even.
