Time for the 2025 thread, me thinks.
Pace of play seems to have worked a charm...

Okay this has just gotten silly. MLB needs to put a stop to this deferred payment stuff
Ohtani was already on base, sohe couldn't have been the Golden At-Bat but it could have been Teo strikes out a lot. The Golden At-Bat may not go to your best hitter in all cases. It's a stupid rule.Even if some of the other rule changes haven't seen entirely popular, at least they're logical in a sense. The pitch clock has sped games up, the extra innings 'ghost' runner has meant less 12+ inning games etc...
So here's a scenario. Game 1 of the world series when the Dodgers have the bases loaded and Freddie is due up. The Dodgers use their 'golden AB' to reinsert Ohtani and instead of the Freeman grand slam, Shohei grounds out to 2B, game over, Y*nkee$ lead the series 1-0.
David Freese becoming a hero in game 6 of the 2011 series probably doesn't happen either.
It would literally be taking away everything that is great about baseball.
Not only that but it's the unexpected hero scenarios that wind up being the most memorable, simply because it's an unexpected player stepping up. This is just a mind-numbingly dumb suggestion all around.Even if some of the other rule changes haven't seen entirely popular, at least they're logical in a sense. The pitch clock has sped games up, the extra innings 'ghost' runner has meant less 12+ inning games etc...
