Round 2 - #32 overall pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected CB Joey Porter from Penn State.

EDGE Keion White is the Patriots pick. Sometimes you just have to really take the BPA. Great defense gets better. Still hoping for a tackle or pass catcher in round 3 at least

The Patriots have Round 2 pick #46 overall.

The New England Patriots select Keion White (Edge) from Georgia Tech University.

Never seen a player more miserable after being drafted. Hopefully it’s just because he’s still pissed he didn’t go in the first rather than any issue with the Patriots

Conference call confirms it’s not to do with Patriots. Said it was a great fit because he’s a business guy and not in football for the glitz and glamour. He’s there to work and win.

Alabama and Ohio State have their players drafted by the NFL.

Patriots pick Marte Mapu. That LB/S hybrid type that we are stacked in. Add another I guess though. Would’ve liked to address the offense at some point…

The New England Patriots select (Round 3 overall pick #76) Marte Mapu, linebacker from Sacramento State University.

Keion White - Edge - New England Patriots - Round 2 - Pick #46 overall

Strengths
  • Outstanding blend of size and athleticism.
  • Traits and potential to play as odd- or even-front end.
  • Sudden with his first hands into contact.
  • Pursuit speed and short-area quickness to make plays.
  • Gas in the motor and rallies through the block to the football.
  • Possesses an exciting level of edge bend to cultivate.
  • Able to bully tackles with his downhill power rush.
Weaknesses
  • Traits are there but still waiting on consistency.
  • Can be slow to diagnose blocking scheme.
  • Below average punch into full extension to control block.
  • Has trouble shedding block with ideal upper-body twitch.
  • Body control can be lacking through contact.
  • Must craft go-to moves and learn to work his hands.

I'm certainly not going to complain about the extra speed and athleticism they've added to the defense... love it in fact. But hopefully they go all in on the offense now.

Will Levis, who was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the second round is from Connecticut. Have never heard of him but he was mentioned a lot in the NFL draft.

Player Bio

Levis signed with Penn State after an outstanding career at Xavier High School in Connecticut. He started once as a redshirt freshman for the Nittany Lions in 2019 (28-47-59.6%, 223 yards, two TDs, two INTs passing; 51-213-4.2, three TDs rushing in seven contests) and once in 2020 (33-55-60%, 421 yards, one TD passing; 82-260-3.2, three TDs rushing) before transferring to Kentucky. The team captain started all 13 games for the Wildcats in 2021, throwing for 2,827 yards and 24 touchdowns (233-353-66%) and leading the squad with nine rushing scores (107-376-3.5). Levis started 11 games in his final college season (185-283-65.4%, 2,406 yards, 19 TDs, 10 INTs passing; two rushing TDs), missing one game with shoulder and turf toe injuries and opting out of the team's bowl game. His father, Mike, played football at Denison University and his mother, Beth, was a two-time All-American soccer player at Yale. -- by Chad Reuter

The New England Patriots select Sidy Sow, Guard from Eastern Michigan.
Round 4 pick #15 (#117 overall)

The New England Patriots select Chad Ryland, kicker from the University of Maryland. Round 4 Overall pick #112

Overview
Five-year kicker with four seasons at Eastern Michigan and one at Maryland. Ryland has the leg to make 50-plus-yard field goals and handle kickoffs, but it is nothing special by NFL standards. He will need to improve his overall accuracy and placement to make an NFL team.
Strengths
  • Has five years of kicking experience in college.
  • Made 60 percent of his career field goal tries from 50-plus yards.
  • Quality hang-time on kickoffs.
  • Creates instant lift with end-over-end kicks.
Weaknesses
  • Slight inconsistencies with leg swing.
  • Placement was average from the hash.
  • Made just 5-of-9 field goals during a four-game stretch last season.
