Rumor has it that Marlins pitcher Pablo Lopez is on the block. He'd slide into the #3 starter slot well but he will cost Casas plus...

ANAHEIM -- The Angels announced the hiring of Wayne Randazzo as the club’s new television play-by-play announcer on Wednesday, as he’s set to be the club’s primary broadcaster on Bally Sports West in 2023.
Randazzo has nearly 20 years of broadcasting experience at both the national and local level, including the past four seasons as the play-by-play radio announcer for the Mets. He’s also the voice of Friday Night Baseball for Apple TV+ and will continue in that role. Randazzo is expected be the primary play-by-play announcer, calling roughly 130 games, while fellow play-by-play announcers Matt Vasgersian and Patrick O’Neal will fill in on the other broadcasts when Randazzo isn’t available. Mark Gubicza is returning for a 17th season as the club’s color commentator.
"I'm incredibly grateful to the Los Angeles Angels and Bally Sports West for the wonderful opportunity to be the new television voice of the Angels,” said Randazzo in a statement. “I can't wait to get started alongside my new partners Mark Gubicza, Erica Weston and the production crew to bring Angels baseball to our great fans."

Randazzo, 38, also spent four seasons as the pregame and postgame host for the Mets Radio Network from 2015-18. He previously did pregame and postgame shows for the White Sox while also serving as a play-by play announcer for various sporting events for ESPN, FS1, Big Ten Network and MLB Network, and he broadcasts the NFL on Sports USA Radio and MLB on FOX.
Randazzo is a Chicago native who started his broadcasting career at Arizona State University before transferring to North Central College, where he graduated in 2007. He then got his start calling Minor League Baseball, including four seasons with Double-A Mobile and three seasons with Class A Kane County.
He was also memorably on the call when former Angels slugger Albert Pujols hit career home run No. 700 with the Cardinals on Sept. 23. The game was broadcast on Apple TV+ and Randazzo was the lead announcer.

Today is the day where they need to decide on Bauer's future. Keep him or let.him walk with $23.5 million and get picked.up to pitch for another team.

Team members took a vote and surprizingly, most guys want him back, but the vote was close.

So Bauer is staying with the Dodgers. I thought he would be gone.

Oh, yeah. They even named a real baby giraffe at the San Francisco Zoo "Brandon" after him.

Twins trade Luis Arraez to Miami for Pablo Lopez and 2 prospects. Was hoping the Sox could find someone to interest Miami to get Lopez but we really didn’t have any major league ready players that would have interested them.
